Sony has recently announced their new share in the online market. The Web Store for E-books is said to be available for Android users. I'm just wondering if Sony will also make the E-books Store be available on non-android smartphones and tablets.

Judging from their press releases, I can say that it is available for non-android users as well. Sony has its own e-reader (a non-android), and this store is of course, very well suited for their device. Apple though, took an entirely different route by banning Sony’s flagship e-book store in their App store. Other e-reader services like Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes & Noble’s Nook are also users of Sony’s Reader Store. These non-restrictions don’t come without a price though. In order for you to download an e-book from the Sony Reader Store you need to use the proper application for that specific tablet or e-reader. This is pretty cumbersome, knowing the fact that some e-readers (well old ones anyway) are hard to manipulate. Maybe in the near future Apple will remove its ban and open Iphone and Ipad users to a new kind of e-book store provided by Sony.
