There is an error with my web lyrics templates. I downloaded some web lyrics templates yesterday from the internet and noticed that the file is on .rar format and was zipped. I tried to open those files but got an error saying unable to open file, I am using Windows XP operating system. I need some advice.

Choose all the files you want to zip. Please hold down the Control key and select each file individually or hold the Shift key and check the first and last file in the list of files.
Check on one of the files and click to "Send To." The file you used to click on typically configures the name of the zip file.
Choose on "Compressed (zipped) Folder." This creates the zip file, with compressed copies of your selected files inside it.

To open a .rar format file you need an extraction software such as 7 zip or WinRAR.
If you are already using one of them and the error appears to "unable to open file", one option is to try 2nd extraction software out of this.Â
If the error still appears on either of the software. Then the file you downloaded would be corrupted or broken. This is caused either due to:
