If you have a Bluetooth-capable device like a Smartphone and you want to connect to other devices, you need another Bluetooth-capable phone to perform the connection. To perform the connection, both devices must enable Bluetooth connection and then perform pairing. When doing the pairing, one of the two devices will perform a search for nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices.

In order for your phone to be located, you need to give it a name. You can do this by going to the Bluetooth settings. Once your phone is located, the user needs to select your phone’s name then perform a pairing. Just follow the instructions to perform the pairing successfully.

Though Bluetooth allows you to connect to other devices, it cannot be done without the other person’s permission because pairing has to be done manually. Another downside of this connection is the version of Bluetooth on either device. When the Bluetooth version is very old than the other one, you won’t be able to transfer files between devices.
