Is there any program which can fix hard drive problems?

Dear, 

I use Western Digital 500GB Sata (WD5000AAKX) Caviar Blue hard disk drive in my desktop. Recently I'm having some bad sectors in it. Is there any program which can fix my hard disk drive? I need a program to fix hard drive immediately. Please help.

Hi Jina,

Bad sectors in a hard disk can be caused by its hardware malfunction or infections of viruses. To solve this problem you can do either of the following:

1. Run Disk Check on Windows. This prompt checks for errors in your hard disk and tries to solve them. To run Disk Check, follow the stated steps:

• Open Computer,
• Right Click on the drive letter which you want to check,
• At the top, select the "Tools" Tab.
• Under Tools Tab, select Check Now,

This will check your selected drive for any errors.

 

2. Download and install HDD Bad Sector Repair from the Internet. This gives you less trouble, as you can choose from stated options in the User Interface of the program.

Hello Jina,

 

Bad sectors are few data clusters created on your Hard drive which can't be read. It is essential to remove those bad sectors as soon as possible. There are plenty of ways to fix them. 

 

1. Download and install Hard Drive Fix which will automatically fix your hard drive.

 

2. Another method is, use your built-in check disk feature which is more secured than installing a third party software. To perform check disk, please follow the steps.

 

3. Go to -> My computer -> right click on the disk you want to check

 

4. Click on properties -> Tools -> Check disk now

 

5. Check on both the boxes to repair and fix the errors and bad sectors.

 

6. This will take few minutes.
