Hello there,

PeaZip showed up this error message box when I tried to archive some files. I have installed on my PC full version of PeaZip and I don’t know why I cannot archive files. Any solution ? Can anyone help me please to fix this error ?

Thank !

Cannot add/update or delete object(s); probably the archive type has browse/extract only support, or cannot support that particular operation (i.e. it’s multi-volume or solid), or PeaZip cannot fully handle the archive name.

This only happens when there is something wrong with the way you archive files. Maybe it is in the archive format you selected or the settings for the archive. If you want the files you selected for archiving or the files you want to compress be added to an existing archive file or compressed file and the existing archive file is a multi-volume archive, then it is not possible.

Adding more files to an existing archive file is best done if the existing compressed file is only a single file and not multi-volume. I’m not sure if multi-volume archives can be updated and I haven’t tried doing that. If the files can’t be added to an existing archive file then just compress it as a separate archive.

Also check if you are using the latest version. If you are using an older version, you probably want to upgrade to the latest version. Download and install PeaZip 5.4.1. It can be installed on any Microsoft Windows versions. Once upgraded, try doing again what you originally want to do and see if it works.

If the problem continues, try using other file archiver such as WinRAR or 7-Zip. For WinRAR, download the latest version, WinRAR 5.11. For 7-Zip, visit 7-Zip File Archiver.
