TEAMVIEWER port 80 downloading error message received

Hi Professionals,

I’m sure that you can suggest me best solutions in this issue.

I received an error when trying to download on my PC. The error is stating:

"Connection Error (invalid reply: <html><body>this site is running Team Viewer Free Port 80 for other applications in adv…)".

And sometimes the Tracker Status changes from this error to "OK (DHT backup only)".

I tried shutting down the TEAMVIEWER to see what happens. I get another error with something like "access denied" or "connection unavailable" or something connected to that.

The error message talks something about port 80. I don’t really know where to look for that, as it does not clearly state the path. Please try to help me in clearing this bug. I’ll be grateful to you. Thank you.

TEAMVIEWER port 80 downloading error message received

Hi,

You are receiving this issue since Teamviewer is using Port 80 to connect by default and it will bring out some problem if its not properly configured on other ports. Notice that upon opening the computer, your Teamviewer will wait for few minutes to connect. If port 80 is not being used by other appliations, Teamviewer will use it. But it will cause error if other application runs using this port. Try to open Teamviewer and then go to Extras and then Options. Select the Advanced tab and then enable the "Don't use incoming port 80" option. In this case, your Teamviewer will not connect using this port and will not have an issue when other application connects with the same port.
