Google Drive is totally compatible with all Android Phones that can access Google Docs.  Note that all Android Phones come with built-in Google Docs.  Essentially Google Docs have become Google Drive, and vice versa.  Essentially, synchronization and collaboration are built-in.

It is one of the wonders of cloud computing.  Once you save it in the cloud, it becomes available wherever you have access to an internet connection and a browser.  Updating a file in one device will automatically be reflected if you access that file in another device.  Some have apps specially designed to access these files saved in the cloud.

These apps can replace the function of the browser and provide tailored views of your on-line/cloud storage.  Such tailored views includes larger text for smaller screens, text re-flow to fit portrait oriented displays of mobile devices and single-column orientation of picture galleries.  Of course, this “access everywhere” feature would not be available if there is no internet connection.  Offline mode is only available in Chromebooks.

I think you won’t encounter any problems regarding Google Drive’s compatibility with your device. Google Drive can run on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Android and iPhone Smartphones, and iPad. Here’s a detailed description of the system requirements for Google Drive. For Microsoft Windows, it supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. For users with Mac, it works on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion.

For iPhone and iPad, the device must be running on iOS 5.0 and up. For Android Smartphones and tablets, it must be running on Android 2.1 Eclair and up. Normally, you don’t have to install Google Drive on your computer because you can already use it using its web interface. In order to use the web interface of Google Drive, you must first login to your Gmail account and then go to Google | Drive. You may also download the Google Drive application from the same page. To know more about the pricing if you need more space above 10 GB, you may visit Google | Drive | Storage plan pricing.

Both your answers were accurate and I wish to thank you for that. Actually I want to navigate to the files I have created in Google Docs, then create other new documents and upload images or any other files from my Android. I would like to share anything stored in my account via email. To do that, I needed to know whether this tool is compatible with my Android and you explained that it is, and that it did not need to be installed. I just needed to go to Google Drive and login with my Gmail account. The links you shared are also very helpful. Thank you again friends.
