Sync User Information of AD to OpenLDAP

I have been trying to sync the User Information of Active Directory with OpenLDAP. Currently, I am looking for these:

a) All of the users added to Active Directory will automatically be added to OpenLDAP as well as all of the modified passwords. OpenLDAP will be used for System Authentication in Linux.

b) All of the users added to OpenLDAP will also be automatically added to Active Directory together with the credentials and modified passwords.

I have been exploring the internet on how I can do this but unfortunately I could not find any answers. Any kind of help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

You will need to obtain a tool that will help you in the syncing process, and there are several tools some of which are the following as listed below:

  • There is the LDSU which is from HP.
  • And then there is the SimpleSync which is from CPS Systems.
  • There is also the MIIS which is from Microsoft.

You can also look at a suite of synchronization products at http://www.uidsystems.com/, most of which are from ADSynch Light. They are template based, they will require no programming and they have a rich user interface. The functionality that they offer will provide everything that is required for synchronizing the Open LDAP and Active Directory as you wish.
