Surfing the internet is my daily hobby. I used to play games, download music, chatting to social networking sites and other web activities. I want to have a Linux. What Linux distribution is suitable for an internet addict like me? Are there any differences between Red Hat, Best Linux and Mandrake? Please state if there’s any. Which of the following Linux distribution is the best among all?
Suitable Linux distribution for an internet addict
Arch Linux is a suggested distro for experienced users since it authorizes them to bring a customized Linux installation built from the ground up. It does not have a graphical install interface. If its installation is done, there is no post-install account creation or login manager screen. Instead, there is a screen where you can edit the settings that have to be modified to suit the network and system infrastructure. This allows the user to change something in the system from the ground up as compared to a 'user-friendly' distro where one would get a standard set of packages and you have to remove the ones that are not suitabvle for your needs. You may want to try Slackware Linux since it tends to run faster than other distros.
