Good afternoon guys. I've been receiving updates regularly on my laptop. Is there a way on how I can get rid of the automatic updates in my Windows 7?

Hello,
The first thing is that you need to check is to make your Control Panel view for Category from the right View by > Category. In order for you to stop updating your system you need to follow these instructions: Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update.
And from the left column click on Change Settings then the first option from up to down, Important updates and from the scroll-down menu select Never check for updates (Not recommended). Make sure that all the checkboxes from this page are checked off (as done in the attached picture below). Click on OK, and you are done.Â
