Hi! When I’m trying to start Windows Firewall on my PC for increasing security of some essential official documents, I’m continuously receiving ‘firewall 0x8007042c’ error. Is this the sign of some malware or virus? How can I remove the present malware? Also, share the steps to fix this error.

Steps To Remove Malware Present In PC Casing Firewall 0x8007042c Error And To Start The Firewall

If you are trying to start Windows Firewall and receive the ‘firewall 0x8007042c’ error, this is because your PC contains some malware/virus. The first thing you can to do is to scan for the malware/virus present on your PC. I will suggest you use Microsoft Safety Scanner. Follow these steps to do so-

• Go to the Microsoft Website.
• Search for ‘Microsoft Safety Scanner.’
• Download the scanner by clicking on ‘Download.’
• Install the scanner.
• Now, right-click on the Microsoft Safety Scanner icon present on your PC.
• Select the following checkbox ‘Accept all terms of the preceding license agreement.’
• Now, click on ‘Next.’
• Click ‘Quick scan.’
• Click on ‘Next.’

It will scan the PC and automatically will remove the malware/virus present in the PC.

Open ‘Firewall.’ Click on ‘Turn the Windows Firewall ON/OFF.’ Now, click on ‘Turn ON windows firewall’ and click on ‘OK.’
