To recover the Windows using the Windows Server Backup:

  1. In the Administrative Tools, go to Windows Server Backup.
  2. Click on Recover in the Actions pane. The Recovery Wizard will open.
  3. On the first page, do one of the following things:Related image
  • Click on ‘This server.’
  • Click on ‘Another Server’ and specify the Location Type. Select one of the two: Local Drives or Remote Shared Folder.

Then click ‘Next.’

6. Now choose a location in the ‘Select Location for System Recovery’ from one of these:

  • ‘Original Location’
  • ‘Alternate Location.’ Browse the path for the location.

Then click ‘Next.’

7. On the final page, Review the details and then select ‘Recover’ option to restore.

Another method is to recover using a command line:

  1. Open the ‘Command Prompt’ with ‘Run as Administrator’ type.
  2. In the command prompt type: ‘wbadmin start systemstaterecovery -version:*DATE* -*TIME* -backupTarget:*STORED_REMOTE_FOLDER*’
