Hey! Will the newly found way to make paper in books repel the molecules of water will make the book more expensive?

It depends on how far you are willing to with the water proof paper. You can have a variety of materials to do the job. The most famous is to use Silicon, which is nothing but sand. It is really effective but it will add more weight, the next material which is suitable is plastic but in a very thin form. Which would be virgin Hydro-carbon, this hardly adds any weight but is not really suitable to grow fibers to write on. But with the new technology, it is easily adaptable and there are already some prototypes made on this basis and are ready to hit the market very quick. You could also add some fine quality lime stone to the paper, it won’t be totally water proof but will be water resistant.
