Sony SmartWatch is a kind of accessories of android devices which is connected with that device via Bluetooth.

SmartWatch gets online by connecting wirelessly by Bluetooth 3 technology with the device (basically smartphones) having Android OS v2.1 or higher.

No. The SONY Smartwatch can connect to the internet but only via a smartphone. It is only an accessory to a Smartphone, not an independent media device.

 

It does pack a lot of promising capabilities. It lets you see the caller's name and either answer the call if you have a headset connected, or send it to voice mail. It lets you send a canned text message.

 

It lets you check your e-mail, Twitter or Facebook, synced with your Smartphone.

No, it cannot. It is designed to connect to the Smartphone using Bluetooth and that’s where the internet connection will be coming from. It is like putting the SmartWatch on a local area network where the Smartphone serves as the server that will provide the internet connection together with other services.

The Sony SmartWatch is a Bluetooth device that is normally paired with an Android Smartphone. It uses a free app from Google play that you need to install on the handset. The program serves all the information to the SmartWatch while connected via Bluetooth. If you already have a Sony Smartphone then you are not required to download the app because it is already pre-installed in the handset.

Just check the applications installed when you purchased the handset. Similar to other SmartWatch, this device can read emails, text messages, and receive social updates from social networking sites. It also features the ability to find lost phone regardless whether the handset is set to quiet mode. You can also reply to the text messages you receive using the preset reply like “I’m out. Call you back.”

It costs $150 in the United States.
