Hi Donna,

Indeed Sony has recently released an internet-linked wristwatch which is powered by Google-backed Android software having a touch display by which it can communicate with an Android Smartphone or device via Bluetooth. This wristwatch is known as Sony SmartWatch.

According to Sony, It gets online when it is connected wirelessly to its wearer's Android Smartphone through Bluetooth. Vibrations or alerts flashed on the screen which signals any incoming calls. Email, SMS as well as Twitter or Facebook updates can be accessed by it while connected to an android device.

So ultimately the speed of browsing depends on the Smartphone or device, with which it is connected, not upon itself. You can have access to the media player of your Smartphone or device as a remote control.

 Best regards,

Guzman

Sony SmartWatch is a Bluetooth wristwatch device that is paired with any Android Smartphone using a free application from Google Play. But if you already have a Sony handset or a Sony Smartphone then you should find it already pre-installed. Just check the pre-installed applications in your Sony Smartphone if it is already there.

But if not, you can always download the application from here.

Don’t worry this is a free application. It requires Android 2.1 and later.

Like any SmartWatch available in the market, if there is a counterpart, this one from Sony lets you read emails, texts, and social updates. It includes the ability to find your lost phone, even if the phone is set to Quiet Mode.

You can also respond to incoming messages using a preset reply, like for example, “I’m on vacation. Call you when I get back.” It is already available in the U.S. for $150.
