I purchased a new HP laptop. It has one TB hard disc and eight GB ram. Yesterday when I downloaded and installed some applications, I started to reboot automatically. I don’t know why it is occurring. I also scanned my laptop for the virus, but I haven’t found any virus or malware in it. I also cleared the RAM of it, but after some time, it again starts to reboot itself. How can I fix this problem?

It generally occurs when your PC is facing any hardware fault, or there is any corrupted drive present in your PC or even because of malware or virus present in your PC. The first thing you can do is to perform a hardware scan. Since you’ve already performed the hardware scan and found no malware, then you should disable the Automatically reboot feature. You can use these steps to do so-

  • Start your PC in safe mode.
  • Press ‘Windows’ key and ‘R’ key together.
  • Type ‘sysdm.cpl.’
  • Press ‘Enter.’
  • Select the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  • In the ‘Startup and Recovery’ section, click on ‘Settings.’
  • Untick the ‘Automatically restart’ checkbox.
  • Tick the ‘Write an event to the system log’ checkbox.

You should also check your system’s RAM, CPU processing, and external devices. Sometimes this issue can also cause due to improper RAM or CPU processing or faulty external devices. You should also update all the drivers.
