A smart self learning java book is required for learning Java

Hi,

I want to learn Java. I am looking for simple and easy way to understand it in very short days.

My programming background is not very strong. So it might be difficult for me. That’s why I am searching for smart self learning Java book.

Tell me any good book that is suitable for me.

Good day Phil,

I started with Java for dummies.

I found that I could understand what was explained to me.

I got it from my local library. I too didn't know anything about programming, but this book taught me the basics.

This book is a revised version of the original. This is because a lot has changed since the first one came out.

You can order it from dummies.com store it is called Java for dummies 3rd edition.

Have fun with this book you will enjoy it.

I have found another one for you on Amazon. Great reviews for this book. It was written by a programmer without the technical jargon it is called "Beginning Java" by Ivor Horton @ $10.23.

As you mentioned that you have no programming background and want to learn in a few days then I will recommend you this book Head First Java. In this book you will get lots of real world example with every program and picture which will help you to learn quickly and easily.

Sun Certified Java Programmer.

Sun Certified Java Developer.

Sun Certified Java Associate.

There are so many other courses from which you can gain a lot of knowledge.
