Shimi, the dancing smart phone dock is the latest innovation from Georgia Tech.

I assume it's packed with really cool capabilities like motion sensor.

What type of phones can I dock on it?

Is it really exclusive to Android phone?

Are there any specific models accepted by Shimi?

I'm excited for this one to come out in the market.

Thanks!

What a cute gadget that is and kind of scary at the same time. Shimi is a dancing robot music player which can dance to whatever beat that is played or loaded in the mobile device.

Shimi automatically detects your iPhone or any Android powered smartphone docked onto it. It immediately starts playing any music once a smartphone is placed and dances to the beat of the music being played. It also recognizes a person’s gestures using its built-in phone camera and selects songs based on rhythmic input.

It can utilize different dance moves for different songs. Shimi has high quality speakers and follows a person’s movement to get the best sound.

This is really an entertaining device and is expected to be put on market for holidays in 2013. To know more about Shimi
