i run an update of my system but i have turned off my pc before the end of update. and after when i turn on my pc it tells me that the following file is missing or damaged "windows/system32/cofig/system" .and then it asks me to do a repaire by inserting the windows xp original cd.but i don't have the original copy.
what should i do please??

I have understood your problem and I have a solution for you. This will resolve the problem completely.
I am sure your windows have missed the necessary file while updating process. You only need to make repair by inserting the disk in cd-rom or install your windows again. Because update is the step when windows removed the old files with replacement of new files.
When this procedure is happening then you restart the system that’s why your windows broken. So, you have to be follow the steps I am telling you.
