Setup error when trying to install the Microsoft Office language pack

Hello Whizzes,

After setting up the windows operating system in the new computer, I started to install the Microsoft Office 2013 pack in the system. I got the setup error when I try to install the Microsoft Office language pack in the computer. Do I need to reinstall the pack again? Please help me. Your help is great.

 

Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):

The installation of a Microsoft Office 2013 Language Pack requires that another Microsoft Office 2013 program be installed on your computer. An installation of Microsoft Project or Microsoft Visio does not meet this requirement, because each of these programs has separate Language Packs. Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.

The wording of this error indicates that you are trying to install a "Microsoft Office 2013 Language Pack" and it fails because certain prerequisites are missing. In this case, the most likely cause is that you are clicking the wrong .exe file. Make sure you're attempting to run the correct setup file and install Microsoft Office 2013 before installing the Language Pack.

Be careful when selecting languages, as once it is installed, Office 2013 will not let you reinstall it easily.

Setup error when trying to install the Microsoft Office language pack

This error means you need to have another Microsoft Office 2013 application installed on your computer like Microsoft Office Word 2013 or Microsoft Office Excel 2013 to install Microsoft Office 2013 Language Pack. If you have either Microsoft Office Project 2013 or Microsoft Office Visio 2013, the installation will still not continue because each of these applications has their own separate Language Pack.

To fix the problem, install the entire Microsoft Office 2013 suite or at least one of the Microsoft Office 2013 applications. If you don’t have the entire Microsoft Office 2013 package or at least one of its applications as a standalone program, you won’t be able to install the Microsoft Office 2013 Language Pack.
