Windows is completely capable of distributing the certificates without the awareness of the client while enrolling them. The computer and user issued certificates fall under this category. I have provided the steps for configuring auto enrollment for a domain.
- Go to Group Policy Management from the Administrative Tools and double-click the Group Policy Objects in the console tree.
- The point on the Default Domain Policy and right click it to edit.
- On the Security Settings, double-click on Auto Enrollment and check the boxes positively.
- Accept the changes by clicking OK.
