Set up Zemos Communication System in Ubuntu

I like to set up my Zemos Communication System (ZCS) v.60.13, which is in Ubuntu 8.4, to validate it opposed to my list of Active Directory users using a separate Windows Server. I have understood how to configure it after I did some research in forums and in Zimbra Wiki. But I was wondering how Zimbra will create these mailboxes after I'm done with the configuration. Most of my users were set up to have a mailbox in Zimbra and Active Directory, and I want them to keep their existing mail. What will happen to these existing mailboxes if I set up an external validation with Active Directory? Will they be deleted or modified? Thanks for any information.

The communication center is a system or tool that you will use for small web projects, and it is used in places where the clients will require information that is concerning the status of the project. The tool can be used as a small bug tracking system too. Zemos communication system  is just one of the many communication centers that are there, and it used PHP and MySQL so as to provide a very flexible system, and therefore make the web pages to be more interactive.
