Set resolutions on HP LP3065 30-inch Widescreen Monitor

I purchased the latest Mac Mini and linked it into my HP LP3065 Widescreen monitor which is working with the DVI cord and provided HDMI to DVI adaptor.

The situation was, the fact that, the screen configurations allowed me only quite minimal resolutions (maximum 1280×800), which happens to be undesirable with this 30-inch screen.

Could there be any solution to obtain a resolution of 2560×1600?

The Apple website states that you'll be able in some way, however I do not recognize how.

Well, I do not think it will be possible for the screen will be able to provide you with a bigger resolution that 1280 x800, but the you can still set the Mac mini to be linked to the wide screen using the projector settings mode so that you can obtain a wide screen resolution as you want.

As an alternative, if you really need to use the mac mini, then the alternative will be to obtain a projector instead of trying to connect the two computers together. Another option will be for you to just transfer the functionality the Mac mini has that you want to access using the wide to the big computer so that you can just access if they are applications directly.
