Hey Tech Professionals,

This is a wired error message getting whenever I try to initialize communication. Means whenever I try to login to communicate, ended up with an error. Don’t understand the root cause of this error? Please help me to find the solution for this problem. Your help is appreciated.

First, check if that version you installed supports your operating system. If it is then there should be no problem. In this case, try reinstalling your application. Uninstall Second Life Viewer, restart your computer, and install it back. Run Second Life Viewer again then see if it works. If you get the same error, open your web browser and visit some websites.

Watch some videos on YouTube to see if you have a fast connection. After verifying your internet connection, run Second Life again then see what happens. If you get the same error again, download the latest version from Download Second Life Viewer for Windows. Second Life Viewer 3.7.3.287491 supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

When you join Second Life, your first task is to select your own avatar. See image.

For Mac users, Download Second Life Viewer for Mac. It requires Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and higher. For users with Linux, Download Second Life Viewer for Linux. In case you are using a wireless internet, this is maybe the problem why it can’t initialize the communications. Second Life requires a cable or DSL internet which is a lot faster than wireless connection.
