Hey there, follow the steps:

1. Go to Start menu, type ‘command prompt’ without quotes, right-click and select ‘Run as administrator’ and press Enter.

2. Paste ‘DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth’ without quotes, press Enter.

3. Then paste ‘DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth,’ without quotes and press Enter.

It will fix your problem. In case it doesn’t, try PC refresh or PC reset, based on how much you care about the data on your system.

Hope it helps!

The full error reads “Error 1168: Element not found.” You may receive this error when installing a Service Pack or a Windows update. You may also encounter this when running the “services.msc” command in the command prompt. To fix the problem, click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories” then right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator.”

In the command prompt window, type without quotes “dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth” then hit Enter. Next, type without quotes “dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth” then hit Enter. Do this if you are using Windows 8.x or Windows 10. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, download the System Update Readiness tool and install it. Once installed, run the “services.msc” command again then see if it works.

If this doesn’t work, run the SFC utility. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories” then right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator.” In the command prompt window, type without quotes “sfc /scannow” then hit Enter. When you are prompted to insert the Windows setup CD or DVD, insert the disc on your optical drive and continue. When it is finished, close the command prompt and restart the computer.

See if this works.
