If this problem happens a lot, try checking your computer for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your whole computer. Make sure to scan the folder System Volume Information which is located in the root of every drive.

This is a hidden system folder so make some changes in the Folders Option to view hidden files and folders with Windows Explorer. If this folder is normally excluded by your antivirus from the scan, make a separate scan for this folder.

This is the favorite hibernation spot of most Trojan worms that I’ve encountered.

If your system is negative for any sign of infection, maybe there are other problems in your machine. Try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

You should also check if there is an application that is scheduled to run in Scheduled Tasks that’s causing this problem. You can find Scheduled Tasks by clicking Start, All Programs, Accessories, and then System Tools.

Open it then check the applications that have scheduled tasks and then remove some that are not needed.
