Hi there,
I had rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3, then it showed that there were new software updates, I clicked on download and install, that's when my trouble began, the phone is stuck on downloading updates, I switched it off by removing the battery, now it won't boot at all, even the screen is not coming on when I press the start button, what could be the problem here? How do I get it working again?
Rooted Smartphone not booting anymore
Since you have hard booted your android by removing battery, it could lead to critical OS problem. Especially when it is done the operating system was too busy with downloads. Ensure that you connect the battery properly to the mobile device and then switch it on. If switch on didn’t work then it could be a problem with your battery which may have charged out. Plug in to charging socket and at the same time perform switch on. If the screen still not being displayed then I would recommend you to reach out to the nearest Samsung service station.

Try to factory reset it in Recovery Mode. If you have other problems with your phone, try factory resetting it from Recovery Mode.
With the phone completely off, press and hold the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons simultaneously until the logo appears. When the logo appears, release the Power button but continue holding the other keys.
When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release all buttons. To navigate between the options, press the Volume Up/Down buttons. To select or Enter, press the Power button. Now, press Volume Down and go to “wipe data/factory reset” then press the Power button to select. Next, press Volume Down and go to “Yes — delete all user data” then press the Power button to select.
Android will begin clearing your phone’s data so just wait. When it is finished, go to “reboot system now” and press Power. Note: before doing this, backup your phone’s data to the memory card and then remove the memory card and SIM card from the device.
