I can’t install Ringtone Maker by Mobile17 on my iPhone 3g. I checked everything but I can’t find the problem. Other apps don’t have any fuss when installing. What can be the problem?

Did you check if the version of the app is ok with the version of your iphone? And is your iphone jailbroken? Anyway there are also ways to make your own personal ringtone without using an app. The problem might be on the app so you can't install it, or that the version is not compatible with your iphone.

Hey there George,

Have you tried re-installing the app on your mobile phone? As long as your iOs version is 4.0 or later this app should work jailbroken or not. This app also has a recent update released Decemeber 2012 so you might want to check that out.

If you need a video tutorial about syncing and creating ringtones using this app watch Mobile17's video tutorial regarding this.

Hope this helps.

I’m not sure if Ringtone Maker by Mobile17 is still available on iTunes. I cannot find it on iTunes to verify the supported phones. Also, the latest version for Android dates back to February 2014 that’s why I’m not sure if the app is still being updated. If you cannot install the app on your iPhone 3G that probably means it is not compatible with your phone.

But that shouldn’t be a problem if you want to create ringtones for your iPhone. To create ringtones for your iPhone without installing the app, go to Mobile17 Make A Ringtone and follow the instructions. You can create a ringtone up to 40 seconds max from your favorite music.

The music file you can upload should be one of the following file formats: .mp3, .m4a, .wav, .wma, and .ogg. Your file should also be 15 MB and lower to create a ringtone. For Android users, go to Ringtone Maker by Mobile17 to download. Latest version and supported phones varies depending on device.

Since you are using an iPhone, you can download Ringtone Maker App on iTunes as alternative to Mobile17. It requires iOS 5.0 and higher and supports iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
