Hi Guys I have a problem about restoring windows license.

Every time that I restore it an error occurred and says that Error 0xCD04F025 Access denied the requested action requires elevated privileges.

I try to do it many times but the error still occurred. I am using windows 7.

Can you help me to find out and how to solve this one.?

Hello Jeffrey,

The account you are using maybe a guest account and hence you do not have the administrative privileges to perform that action, hence you will need to log in as the administrator on the same computer and then try restoring the windows license again.

Otherwise the operating system you are using might have been compromised for being a counterfeit program and therefore you will need to a clean installation of the same operating system. Or possibly, the operating system was meant to be used on a single computer and therefore you cannot install it on that one.

Hi,

This is an administration tool in your Operating System. This has Microsoft Visual Basic and Java script engines. So this can be able to control ActiveX scripting engines. You can solve this by register again the Windows Script Host in your operating system.

You can use Microsoft Fix It tool for this. This will automatically register Windows Script Host. I will give you the link to get this tool.

You can do this manually. Please follow the instruction very carefuly.

1.       First you have to go to the Command Prompt. Click Start > Run > Type Command Prompt then press Enter.

2.       In the Command Prompt, Type regsvr32 %Your Windows driveYour Operating system Windows folder%system32filename.dll

You have to enter the following filenames in the filename.dll field and press enter one by one.

jscript.dll

dispex.dll

scrobj.dll

scrrun.dll

wshext.dll

wshom.ocx

If you need any additional details regarding this scenario, please go to the following link.
