Hi,
I want to remove the Run command or Run box from windows start menu because I don't want others to use my computer to enter any kind of Run commands in the Run box that will enable them to reconfigure or even ruin my windows settings.
You can see the Run box right after you click the windows start button to see all the programs installed in your computer. Check the image below:

Remove Run box from Start menu
Hi Dear, you are absolutely right. If any expert or children’s need to use my computer then must be need to hide RUN command from start menu. You can do it very easy. Please follow below picture and do it please.
First please right click on the start button and the click properties. Then start menu properties will come. Then click Customize Tab, then new window will open then click advanced button then you will see start menu items list. Please scroll down and uncheck the box. This is from left side of RUN command.
You can take help from below picture also.
If you want to back RUN command to start bar then just check the box through this same procedure.
Remove Run box from Start menu
There is also another way of removing the Run command in your Start menu besides using the customization found in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. You need to install Norton SystemWorks 2010 or any older or newer version will do. It has a lot of tweaks for Windows XP.
After you install it, click on Optimize Your PC, as shown in the image below:
Then click on System Optimizer, as shown below:
Click on Start Menu & Taskbar:
Click on the checkbox beside Remove Run, then click on Apply, then hit Exit:
Then check if the Run command in your Start menu is gone. There's a lot of other tweaks inside the program. Just check them out and see what happens.
