The National Telecommunications Commission of the Philippines is looking at the possibility of removing the expiration of cellphone and internet prepaid loads. Although, the cards are valid for one year, the validity of the credit expires depending on the amount. Thus, consumers have to utilize the credits left before forfeiture. How will the removal of the expiration dates affect the telecommunications market?

Hello Regina, I have read your query about on how will the removal of expiration dates affect the telecommunications market. This issue of removal of expiration dates on prepaid loads was appealed by a Senator on the Congress against National Telecommunications Commission. And if this will be done and approved, it will greatly affect the telecommunications market. It will be a great savings for each and every one of us especially for those who uses cellphone loads only when necessary or for emergency purposes. They need not to worry about having expired load if they will not be able to consume everything. This will only be applicable for people who buy regular loads and prepaid cards, this does not apply for those who uses fixed-promos such as Unlimited calls and texts services.
