I'm trying to set up a small cyber cafe and want to real player network install the PCs with the media software. Which network topology would make the process quick? Star or Ring topology?
In the case of small cyber cafe I think it's better to apply star topology. It will give you better performance if your central hub is strong enough. You can control each connected device individually. Easy to connect new nodes and devices without affecting the rest and the best part is the failure of one link or node will not affect the whole network where as in ring topology the whole network goes down.
