Can anyone of you tell me what the advantages of upgrading Microsoft Office Professional 2007 to Microsoft Office Professional 2010 are? Will I still able to save my documents in older version formats of Microsoft Office (I’m currently saving my files as Microsoft Office ’97-2003 format)? Or will my saving choices be limited? Thanks.

The saving choices will not be limited when you upgrade from ms office professional 2007 to the latest ms office 2010. You can still be able to save your documents in the Microsoft office 97-2003 format so that they can be opened in the earlier versions of ms office programs.

In fact, the saving choices that you will have when using ms office professional 2010 will be many as compared to office 2003. For instance in ms office 2010, you can be able to save your word office documents directly to pdf unlike in ms office 2003 where you need to install a third party application or use a word to pdf converter. It also has improved features when it comes to design and drawings.

Hello Connie,

                       MS Office 2010 has more powerful and visually attractive features that make it way better product than MS office 2007. In addition to using more slick presentations and robust interface, you also have the control over the content. You can absolutely save your documents in previous versions of MS office files. In addition you have more file formats that you can save your files into e.g. PDF. You can now use the co-authoring feature in MS office 2010 that gives you the Google docs like ability on your desktop. Moreover, you can use the MS sharepoint and Webapps. You can do remote presentations from within you Powerpoint program while your viewers can see it through their web browsers. All in all its a way better product than its previous version.

I see, Microsoft Office Professional 2010 is more advantageous compared to its previous version. It’s good to know that my older files will not be compromised with the new version. I even get to have more choices. Now, I’m in no doubt will proceed with my upgrade. Thank you so much for helping me get the needed information. This techyv site is such a help.
