I recently downloaded and installed sntp for windows. However the serial number I have is for an older version of sntp for windows. I am just wondering if the serial number I have will still work for this version of sntp for windows or if I need to get an updated version?

It is possible that sometimes, serial numbers for older versions of softwares are compatible with newer versions. In this case it is most likely that the serial number you have will function.
If it does not, you just find out what version of SNTP you have installed, and get the serial number for it.
