Can the coordination points be left as blank or not included in the html codes when you are making rectangle image map or does it need to have points provided?

An image map is a list of coordinates linking to a definite image with various "clickable" areas. Build in order to hyperlink areas of the image to a variety of destinations.
Definitely coordination points are very important in making rectangle image map so as to any image map to be use in html codes. It should be provided.
Rectangle Image map has four (4) co-ordinates; (x1) the left; (y1) the top; (x2) the right; (y2) the bottom.
