PSD file lost in Mac OSX

I created files with PSD running on Mac OSX but lost them after a blackout. The files I had created were not saved, but I think there must be a way that unsaved files are saved temporarily in a computer. I would like an explanation on where I should find the temporary files and how to recover them. Anyone experienced in this will help a lot.

There is a program called Odboso Photo Retrieval that can scan your hard drive and find Photoshop PSD files.

Download the program from here

  1. Install the program
  2. Launch Photo Recovery to start it with the help of the recovery wizard
  3. Select the hard drive that you want to scan for PSD files
  4. Click Next
  1. Under Common Picture, set the file type to recovery and check Adobe Photoshop .psd option
  2. Click Next for the scanning process to start
  1. While the program is scanning your hard drive, it will generate thumbnails of the .psd files that you can recover
  2. Once scanning has completed, select the .psd files/s that you want to retrieve
  3. Click the Next button
