Hi Jiim May

Protecror.exe originally located in C:Programe Files and 91% of problems of PCs are created by it. It will create an icon on the taskbar beside the clock. If you get this file on the other directory then it is 100% harmful to your PC. Just mind it, it is not a windows program file. It can hide itself and it uses ports to connect a LAN or internet.

To remove this protector.exe you can use GhostSurf 2006 Platinum or SpyCatcher Express 2006. Just use these softwares and remove this protector.exe file.

Good luck
