Problem seen in microphone and webcam after deletion of unnecessary files

Hi experts,

One of my friends helped me with deleting some unnecessary files from my laptop. Since then, I have been facing some problem regarding microphone and webcam.

It shows the error message indicating that the microphone is not plugged in. I tried to get necessary drivers for the microphone from the internet, but I failed. However, I got necessary tools for the webcam and finally it became normal, but still, my microphone is not working. 

The present configuration of my laptop is Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista 32bit.

My microphone and the webcam are set in corporation with the laptop.

I have never seen these error messages before deleting those unnecessary files.

Do you have any idea regarding this issue?

Hi,

This is happening because of the missing software of the sound card driver. Download the sound card software of your laptop from Internet. Install it than configure the sound and microphone setting.

Another good option is changing the Operating System with Windows 7. It will automatically configure your settings and you will get great performance through Windows 7.

It could be possible that your soundcard has been damaged. But based on the issue that you are experiencing, it is evident that there is a missing soundcard driver on your laptop since the other ones are functioning well. When you download and install the soundcard driver, make sure that the driver is compatible with your OS. Otherwise, you will still have the same issue.
