Hello,

I have a SD card which I use in my digital camera. Previously the SD card reader in my notebook was able read them perfectly. Recently there has been an error that has been showing that the memory card is corrupted.

I do not know what is causing this problem.

Should someone know of the solution kindly inform me.

Hello,

If it says that your SD card is corrupted, I cannot guarantee you to recover the files in it. But to give you a glimpse of hope, sometimes scanning the SD card can fix things. Again, I cannot assure  you that it will correct everything but you have nothing to lose if you’re going to try it. Okay, i will give you the steps to do this. Please follow the following steps

  1. Insert the card in a card reader then plug it on the computer. (like you usually do)
  2. Locate the card in My computer or Windows Explorers.
  3. Right click on it.
  4. From the pop-up menu, just click properties.
  5. A window with a pie chart will appear that shows the available and used space on your SD card.
  6. Select the Tools tab, and click on the error checking button.
  7. Click the check box for fixing file system errors then click start button. It should only take a short while.

If this steps doesn’t work, I think you need to re-format you SD card in order to use it again.

Hope It helps! Good luck
