Hi Guys,
The problem is with my Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. I tried to run and got the error message “An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The virtual machine will reset now”.
Is it a compatibility issue?

From the error message shown it does not look like it is the compatibility problem. Try the following steps:
1. Download Ubuntu and check the compatibility details with your system. Download the version that is supported by your system.
2. Follow the instructions and setup the program.
3. In the hardware assisted virtualization, deselect the tick from enable hardware assisted virtualization. See the screenshot below:
4. Now install Ubuntu on your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen and restart your computer after installation.
5. Now run the program. It should look like this after installation:
