Problem installing an Active directory Domain Service

Hi guys,

I am trying to install a fresh install of Active Directory Domain services.  I have installed a new Windows Server 2008, tweaked all the TCP/IP and DNS configurations.  My disk drive is configured in NTFS and stores SYVOL.  The DNS is already installed in the network so I didn’t change that aspect.  Now  this warning sign just popped up on my screen:

Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard;

The operation failed: because the domain controller could not be contacted for the domain testeny.local that contained an account for this computer. Make the computer a member of a workgroup then rejoin the domain before retrying the promotion.

“The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.”

I used to run a server2003 on my system.  Anyone with a solution?

Problem installing an Active directory Domain Service

Active directory domain service sometimes creates this type of problems. If you are using Windows Server 2003 then remove the entire active directory that you created before and then restart your computer. Now configure your TCP/IP again perfectly. Now try to install active directory again. Do not forget to select domain name. You have to use domain name with .com extension.

If you are using Microsoft Windows Server 2008 then install TCP/IP and restart computer. Do not forget to select domain name. You have to use domain name with .com extension.  As example: “mydomain.com”. Now configure your router connection and install active directory.

Problem installing an Active directory Domain Service

Active Directory is configured with no conflict IP's and another. Better check the listed IP and no redundant IP are found. If you finish this step, check the system for installed programs for the server. It may not be properly installed that's why you are having trouble right now. Look for a better copy of this software and install it again. Read the guideline and now you can connect and work as administrator for this server.
