I have recently encountered a problem in my laptop where there were some issues with the Dell touchpad settings in Windows7. The touchpad was not working properly. I was unable to figure out the problem. Can anyone please help me how I will be able to solve this issue?

Problem In The Functioning Of Dell Touchpad Settings In Windows 7

This can happen if there is some problem in the Touchpad settings of your laptop. But before going for anything else, you should first install the latest driver for your touchpad. The latest driver would be available in the official Dell’s Website.

Once you have installed the latest driver you can check for the following: — You can go to start menu and click on the control panel. In the control panel under this option Hardware and Sound you can get the mouse option. Click on the mouse option and then click the Dell touchpad tab.

Then click on the link to change the Dell touchpad settings and then click on the touchpad on/off button to enable the touchpad. But since your touchpad is not working you need a Bluetooth mouse or an external USB to make the following changes.
