Problem copying large files using pendrive

Hi,

I just bought an 8 GB pen drive from Transcend. But I wonder why, whenever I  try to copy a very large file (about 2GB, DVD quality movie), it doesn’t allow me to copy it.

How do I copy large videos?

You can convert the videos to a lower format and copy. There are a lot of tools available to do such conversions like “freemake”.

But I want to preserve the quality of the videos. Is there no other way?

I had the same problem. You have to set the file format of your pen drive to NTFS. Right click your pen drive from “MY Computer” and format it using NTFS. This will do the trick.

The NTFS file system is not appearing in the file system, when I tried to format. Does my pen drive support it?

  • Right click on your "Pen drive".
  • Click "Properties"
  • Select "Hardware" tab.
  • Click "Properties" again.
  • Go to "Policies" tab.
  • Select "Optimize for Performance".

Now you should have NTFS in Format menu.
