Problem with adding red underlined word to dictionary

Hi Guys,

I normally right click on a red underlined word and click on “Add to Dictionary” in order to add any word to dictionary in MS Word 2003. Now I am not getting the “Add to Dictionary” option when I right click on any red underlined word.

How can I add any red underlined word to the dictionary in MS Word 2003?

Problem with adding red underlined word to dictionary

 

Hi,

If you are not able to add words to your MS Word dictionary, please check if your Custom dictionary is selected, and located in the right place:

1. In your an open word document, select Spelling and Grammar from preference or just hit F7.

2. In the Windows that appear, click on the dictionary button.

3. Now make sure that your Custom dictionary is selected, do this by clicking on the check box.

4. Also check if it is in the right directory, usually it is in the folder…/Library/Preferences/Microsoft.

Please go through the steps below and try again, hope this will help you.

Problem with adding red underlined word to dictionary

 

You can use manual way. It is very easy to follow.

Open word.

Click options on the Tools Menu.

Now click on the Custom dictionary on the spelling grammar tab.

Now click new to create a new Custom dictionary.

In this dictionary, you can add your desired word.

Here is another solution for you- First open MS Word 2003 from your PC.

*Now click on the Office button.

*After that you find the button Word option, now click it.

*Here on the left side, you find the Proofing button, click on it.

*Here you have to click on the Custom dictionary.

*Now click on Edit word list.

*A dialog box will be open; here you can write your desired word that you want to add.
