Printer doesn’t recognize the cartridge

My HP Photosmart C7250 won't print because it doesn't detect the other cartridge. It always says that the cartridge is empty. I've followed the instructions on how to clean the heads according to the HP manual. I already replaced the cartridge multiple times.

This printer has been working fine for 6 months and I'm sure I am doing it right. Now I bought a new ink and it says status light that says that the ink cartridge is empty. I don't know if I need to buy a new printer or what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I'm Kattyrine

I've read about your problem and I think it may have something to do with your drivers; it may be out of date or in need of updating. What you can try to do is first you want to make sure that the problem is not on the ink cartridge themselves, if possible, try using your cartridge to another printer and see if it works, if it does, we can try reinstalling your printers driver.

First, your printer should have a CD that came along with it, insert it and install the driver, if that does not work try going to the site of your printers’ manufacturer and download there the latest driver for your device and install it. You can also try updating the driver thru Computer Management:

1. First go to My Computer and right click on it, choose Manage
2. In there, find Device Manager.
3. In the Device Manager, look for your printer and check if there's a problem.
4. Update it either way by right clicking and choosing Update Driver… make sure you are connected to the internet.

Dear you can do these steps to see the problem and to solve it.

• First of all see it there is no jam in printer in moving parts or in cartridge  access.
• Check that the correct cartridge  is applied on the correct side you can check the number to see that.
• See that all the parts are on there location and working properly in printer and there is no jam.
• Take cartridge and keep them on a peace of clean scrap paper and clean them with care so that the contacts which are used in connections are being cleaned.
• You can use a led pencil to clean the contacts of cartridge.
