Printed PowerPoint/word 2007 images not as good as Adobe PDF images.

I do a lot of image printing by use of various Microsoft applications. When I print images from Adobe PDF, the result is very clear and excellent quality print images. However, when I print images from PowerPoint and Word 2007 I get very poor image prints. This is regardless of whether the images are in GIF, PNG, JPG or any other format.

Why is there such a difference? I need your views.

I have never noticed something like that ever. But there might be few things that you can do if it is true what you are saying.

When selecting the print option, go to printer properties. Under the paper/quality tab go to Media and select Plain paper, Best Quality. This will surely increase the quality of print output.

This step is a continuation to the above one. When you are in the Paper/quality tab, click on the advanced button. Here, select the Resolution to Max DPI mode. If you want to enable this option for ever then set the last option, Print in Max DPI to Yes.

If you think that PDF prints are better than why not convert that specific document in PDF. Microsoft applications do offer this option that you can convert your file to PDF. Open that file in PDF and then take a print out of it,
