PPC Apps on Mountain lion OS X
Hi David,
The Apple has dropped the PPC apps support in their new MAC OS X v10.7 Mountain Lion. Means it will not support Rosetta anymore. But it is possible for Apple to enable support in future.
But if you want PPC apps support, you can have it by virtualization of MAC OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard in MAC OS X v10.7 Mountain Lion. You can have it by Parallels 7 or VMware Fusion software. That the only way you can have Rosetta in MAC OS X v10.7 Mountain Lion.

Yes, that’s right. This is also a problem with some of the users in the Mac community because some of them own different gadgets and devices that works perfectly well in older Macintosh operating systems but stopped working when they upgraded their system to Mountain Lion. Even before the release of Mountain Lion OS X, PowerPC applications support were been dropped for over a year and this is not new to some users.
And it’s obvious when the new Mountain Lion OS X was released, no Rosetta-based applications will work on this new platform. One of the users suggested downgrading the system from Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard to make the application work again. If you have a device that works on previous Mac version and doesn’t work on Mountain Lion, you can either upgrade its software to the one that supports Mountain Lion or buy a new one that supports the new platform.
