PowerPoint File Not Opening in Slide Show mode

I received a PowerPoint presentation and when I try to open it using the View Slide Show, the sound doesn’t work. The person that gave me the presentation says that on his computer the sound works. Do you think that it is because we have different PowerPoint editions? And if not, how should he send me the presentation so I can hear the sound?

Hi Franklin,

There are a lot of possible reasons why the sound does not work but in your case there is only one possible cause why it won't play. This is because When presentations are made audio files are not embedded rather it’s only linked to the PPT presentation. So have your friend send the file again and this time let him/her include the audio file. Save both files in the same location.
