Hi Brothers,

Power Manager

You are not authorized to display the panel for selecting a power scheme.

                                                                OK

I get this error and power management does not open.

Any help is of great use to me.

Thanks.

Hi Bob,

Okay the error talks about authorization. Well the problem with this is that you are not authorized meaning the user account you are using is not an administrator. And only an administrator can change/edit stuff regarding the function of the system and other system related files. So in order to do this you must log out the current account and log-in as an administrator.

After that try doing/changing the power scheme. This time it will work for sure.

This is just another security measure of the system to insure that nothing will be changed without the owner of the unit knowing. Also to prevent other users from messing with the files and system of the computer.

I think you need to check Windows Registry and if you found that it has large amounts of power policies that you don't know this will be overflow so you will have the error message that you mentioned so you can delete some of these policies and then restart what you use and then continue your work with no error messages.

And I have another solution but it may help you just check it.

You can use this solution with Windows XP or 7 so see this link for downloading additional profile that may help you.

Hope These Ways helps you.
