I always receive an error prompt that reads “the policies in IT do not allow downloads by third party applicants”. I have no clue or information regarding the above problem. Is there someone with ideas on how to go about it?

That particular error usually comes up whenever you try to download from a location, but their IT guys have installed a policy not allowing you to. I do get that same error at the office when I try to download from a site not authorized by the company. You need to contact them, tell them what you're doing (provided that you are downloading authorized data), and they will be giving you the appropriate access to do so.

It's always a good idea to check first with the local tech team for messages such as this one to ensure that you're not violating any security policy. This also applies to installing an application/program from an unauthorized source ( such as an external USB drive ).

Cheers!
